SAMPLE RETREAT SCHEDULE
FOUR 1-HOUR MODULES
Any time after our Pre-Retreat Zoom meeting, begin Hour 1 activities.
HOUR 1
- Imagine a snow globe. Shake it up and watch the snow swirl.
- Watch the snow (and your thoughts) settle and come to rest.
- Stroll around your neighborhood
- Walk a new (not your normal) route
- Notice nature – look at the plants and the sky
- Listen to the sounds around you
- Stand close to a tree and notice the patterns and colors in the bark
- Touch things – leaves, rocks, mailboxes, street signs. Notice how they feel against your skin. Warm or cold? Rough or smooth?
- Read anything you enjoy—a book, magazine, or online article
- Suggested spiritual books:
- The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
- Willing Sols: How to Brave Uncertainty and Find Peace by Lucky McCullough
- Quiet Your Mind Chatter by Lucky McCullough
HOUR 2
- On each in-breath, think, “I am”
- On each out-breath, think, “spirit”
- An audio book or podcast that provides an uplifting way of thinking about yourself and your life
- What do you want? Imagine your dream life in the present tense with much detail
- Feel the feelings you want to feel in your dream life. Don’t let your mind distract you. If your mind tells you that you’re too hot or too cold, or that you need to check your messages, respond by saying, “Thank you, mind, but I’m visualizing now.”
HOUR 3
- Picture yourself sitting under a tree or near a lake, a stream, a waterfall, or an ocean
- Imagine the God of your understanding (perhaps your Heavenly Mother, Jesus, or Buddha) sitting with you or giving you a warm hug
- Take a luxuriously long hot bath or shower
- Self-manicure and/or pedicure
- Self-facial
- Any other pampering activity
- Enjoy a meal of mindful eating
HOUR 4
- On each in-breath, think, “I am lovable”
- On each out-breath, think, “I am loved”
- Enjoy a meal of mindful eating
- Pay attention to each and every bite. What does your food smell like? Look like? What does the texture feel like in your mouth? What does it taste like?
- Sit or lie down and listen to music

CREATE MORE TIME IN YOUR SCHEDULE
At my online retreats you will stop running in meaningless circles. As you gain clarity, you will become mindful of each task. Instead of rushing from sunup to sundown and feeling empty at the end of the day, you will rejoice in your daily journey. The nonessentials will naturally drop from your to-do list, as you recognize that it’s the quality of each activity (not the quantity) that contributes to your well-being.
